Well, I promise I'll blog if it's good. And yup, it's good! Long Qs are well justified. Okie, let's start with the Bak Kut. They come in all shapes and tasty sizes and cuts... yummy... finger licking good. So good that it might me recall a cheng yu, 'zhan bu jue kuo!' (whatever that means!) The soup is not those over peppered kind, but got sweetness. Comes in a small, but big enough bowl. One refill is more than enough! Put it this way, normally lin takes more refills... and she couldn't even finish her 2nd bowl. Now that it's not good, on the contrary, it's so satisfying.
The mei chai is also nice. The most not worth it is the small, cold lifeless you tiao. it's there to dip into the soup, to prove that the soup is so good that you can even eat it! Oh, don't forget the nice cold barley. It's the one of the world's best complimentary things. They really go so nice together, hot savoury bak kut teh and ice cold home made barley... aaahhh....
aiyo all this typing is really no nice, coz i don't write well, but i try to eat well, so when in balestier, don't forget to try the founder bak kut teh restaurant! Shot a video of the Q in
Roy's iWeb.
